When someone desires to surrender their free will to the Creator of the universe (Allah) with full conviction and absolute belief that obeying Almighty Allah is the True Way ordained by Him for all humans, then that person should make his or her public declaration of faith ("Shahadah" in Arabic), without delay.

Allah Says in the Quran:
"The Only Way in the sight of Allah is Submission to Him (Islam)." (Qur'an 3:19)

In another verse of the Holy Qur'an, Allah says:
"If anyone desires a Way of Life other than Submission to Allah (Islam), Allah will never accept this from him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of the loosers (In Hell)." (Qur'an 3:85)
